Best hot dogs and hamburgers in the area. Only open for breakfast and lunch. Great for a quick bite. If you come around lunch expect a long line. They have regular and jumbo hot dogs and they are the home of the giant cheese burger. Fresh fries and onion rings too. Love this little place it's a one of a kind.

Mom and I found this sweet spot per a Google search, having dropped my dad off for a very early flight. We wanted a good filling breakfast. Not some fast food trash. We were welcomed in, service was quick. You walk up place your order for "here" or "togo". They have a small counter holding coffee and tea sweet and un. And a cooler full of 20oz bottles of soda, OJ, and milk. Mom had the vegetable omelette, I had the breakfast platter with a nice peice of ham. The eggs are cooked to your preference, you have a choice of grits or hashbrowns, toast or a biscuit. Being the good southern girl I am, I went with the grits. They didn't disappoint! I would highly recommend stopping for breakfast. They open at 5:30am! Also I would never think a little hotdog joint would throw down on the southern breakfast but man it was great. Also prices were excellent for the amount of food you receive.

Tony's Hot Dogs is great. Made to order, breakfast and lunch. We roll up in here many Saturday's as a group and they are efficient and courteous every time! The food is wonderful and the servers are awesome. The owner Joe and his wife are there most times, and they really keep the line moving and the food yummy.Please, come and try their sandwiches and enjoy the small diner experience, you won't regret it.

Hot dogs not as good as everyone claims! Have lived in some cities with really good hot dogs/coneys, NYC, Chicago, Detroit, & Tulsa. Restaurant is not too clean & a little run down. On other hand, staff was very friendly & service quick. Will not be back!

First time in...from the pics I called(11am or so) it in bsc just about every pic showed a line..It was ready as soon as I walked in..As I paid for my regular cheese burger...it felt solid in the bag.I admit I threw the bag in my purse as I rushed back work. As I pulled it out it felt as if it would break the bottom of the bag due to the weight...Very good!!!! Go try Tony's they also have bkfst.

If you happen to be an MBA student and want a case study in efficiency, this place is it. When we got there, the line was out the door. Our total wait was 10 minutes. Somehow they are doing this with 5 people. Amazing. The hot dogs were great, too!

Came in this morning and ordered a several items for my family. Everything was fine until I got to the cashier who was very rude. Just asked “what’d you get”. I tried to remember everything I had ordered then she argued with me about the way I said one item. Why aren’t there tickets? It’s easy to remember if you only order one or two things but not 6-7. I forgot one thing and she just kept giving me a dirty look. Don’t know what her problem was with me but she won’t have to worry about seeing me again. Food was good, gravy was a little greasy. Been visiting this spot since I could drive.

Best hotdogs in Birmingham just to live in Atlanta and every time I came home, couldn't wait to go to Tony's. Great hamburgers just great food period. Gotta go give it a try, you'll keep going back.

I’ve been eating at Tony’s for over 20 years. The food is phenomenal, the staff are friendly and fast. This restaurant is a must. I love great, local spots like this.

I will say the food is 100% a five star, it’s pretty delicious. The reason I gave them a 3 star is because the service is awful. It’s quick but they are always so rude every time we go in and order, NOT welcoming at all. They also put the fries on top of my burger which made is impossible to get my burger out from the bottom of the bag without all my fries falling out of the bag. Also Tony, why have a hot dog and hamburger place without jalapeños?

Hidden gem located at the end of a shopping center. Tasty chili slaw dogs, perfectly cooked juicy burgers and crispy crinkle fries!

I am not a hot dog person. I had a jumbo chili cheese dog, and it was one of the best hot dogs I have ever had. Take it with a grain of salt as I don't like hot dogs much in the first place, but if you are looking for a good hot dog that is worth the money for it, I highly suggest you check out Tony's. They have a wonderful staff who take a specific and compassionate care to make sure every customer is happy and are welcoming to even the most oblivious questions. They are patient, caring, and compassionate, and they make a mean hot dog. The atmosphere is very casual and relaxed, the food is good, and the service is great.

They have the best pancakes here! I work overnight and I get off right after opening. I eat pancakes at least once a week! Highly recommend

I’ve been a big fan of Tony’s for years. I appreciate them being family owned, operated and their love for all of the customers that come through the front door. Be aware that the food is really Really good and served like you’re at home. Sometimes however the line is in the parking lot...Are we’re all fat and loving it. Being a foodie I gotta say the Giant burgers are Bangin!! Best in the state so far that I’ve found. Breakfast will fill you and start your day and the smiles and well wishes to everybody as they leave makes you feel appreciated every single time. ❤️Thanks guys

I had the cheese burger all the way with onion rings. The burger was a half pound of meat and it was delicious! One of the best restaurant burgers I’ve ever had! Definitely recommend this place for a quick bite to eat! It might be Tony’s Hotdogs, but the burgers are the BEST!!! Warning: the dinning room is very small.

This was my first trip to Tony’s. I had the chili cheese hot dogs and fries. Dogs were good and they served extra fries which were crinkle cut and fresh. We got there at 11:00 with little wait but by the time we left the place was packed. Not much on ambiance but it appeared to be mostly clean. I noticed the burgers and fries were out of a box and frozen. This put me off a little. Between that and the run down look of the place I could not give them five stars.

The Cheese Burger with pimento cheese! Incredible! My favorite dish. You can dine in or carry out. Walk right up to the counter, place your order, quick service...well oiled machine. Always greeted with a smile.

They really have the Best burgers in Bham! ...and the staff are great too. Worth the drive worth the wait in line, for sure!

Essentially my first visit and they did not disappoint. I went at noon on a Friday and they were very busy, but the line moved quickly and the food was served up fast. I had the appropriately named Giant Cheeseburger. It was fabulous. I can only imagine that the rest of the menu is equally as delicious.

One of my new favorite places to eat. My husband and I have eaten her two times in the past couple of weeks. I have only tried one type of hotdog because it’s so good. I can’t wait to try the hamburger and other hotdogs as well! Definitely recommenced. @chasafulkerson

Great lunch items, and even better breakfast!

Well, I was greeted by 6-8 staff all wearing masks. Problem is not one of them had masks on properly. A couple mouths covered. No noses covered and most were only covering their necks. I don’t get it???

I finally made it to Tony's! Amazing service and delicious food. So far the best Chicago dog I've had outside of Chicago. Same ingredients with a slightly different presentation than those I had in Chicago but just as scrumptious!! LOTS of people were eating the cheese burger which is HUGE. I was shocked when I saw the size of the burger patties on the flat top grill. I can't wait to go back and try the cheese burger. You definitely won't leave hungry from Tony's.

This place is the real deal. If you just want a gosh darn hot dog than look no further. No fuss bare bones establishment that looks you in the eye while they prepare your dog. Gave me so many fries I couldn't even see the tray underneath. Come here if you want to know what it feels like to be a TRUE BLUE HOT DOG LOVING PATRIOT.

Great hot dogs and their burgers are huge and even more delicious....

They will cook your food to order. Family owned, delicious breakfast fare! And of course hot dogs! Nothing is prepared ahead unless you call your order in. I love this place. Try the country fried steak with grits and gravy on the side to spoon over the grits. Heaven to a southern gal like me. Pancakes are fluffy and great with a side of sausage. Special requests are no problem.
